History of Glasgow College

GLASGOW COLLEGE opened its doors in March 1998, in response to the demand for bilingual education in a sector of the population of Greater Buenos Aires. The site on which the construction work was completed was an old estate belonging to a prestigious family from the Bella Vista area. The work lasted approximately one year and the design has produced a building that distinguishes itself in its modern characteristics and facilities aimed at providing the best possible service to the pupils.

The inauguration ceremony took place in circumstances of simplicity, hierarchy and solemnity, relying on the presence of municipal authorities and the educational community. At that moment, all of the sections of the Kindergarten Level and the first form of the former EGB were opened. Year by year the number of pupils increased and through vegetative growth, all educational levels up to Secondary level have now been filled. This growth was also logically accompanied by investments in the construction. In the year 2008 we celebrate, with great pride, the first decade since the school’s foundation.
